Clast Magazine is an independent art and culture publication redefining editorial content in the modern creative landscape. Based in South London, we produce both print and digital editions while engaging in exhibitions, events, and collaborations that push cultural boundaries. Our editorial focus spans art, fashion, music, and wider culture, with an emphasis on storytelling and long-form features that reflect the complexities of today’s creative industries.

As part of Clast Group, we are a growing creative collective committed to building sustainable platforms and connecting local talent to a global community. We are looking for a Social Media Content Creator to help us bring our vision to life across Instagram and TikTok.

Role Description

We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and socially savvy individual to join our team as a Social Media Content Creator. This role will involve discovering and featuring new art, culture, and creative projects, while also crafting compelling and visually engaging content for our Instagram and TikTok audiences. You will work closely with our editorial and design teams to create captivating visuals, possibly collaborating with graphic designers to develop new layouts, templates, and design elements for our digital platforms.

This position offers significant creative freedom and the opportunity to shape the voice of Clast Magazine on social media. We're a small magazine, growing quickly, so hopefully the role could evolve into a paid position for the right candidate towards the future.

Responsibilities

  • Curate and feature new art, fashion, music, and cultural pieces on Instagram and TikTok, with a focus on fresh, diverse, and emerging talent.

  • Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure the content reflects Clast’s storytelling approach and highlights key editorial features.

  • Work alongside graphic designers to create and refine templates, layouts, and visual assets for social media posts, stories, and video content.

  • Create video content, including reels, TikToks, and behind-the-scenes footage that engages followers and promotes our print and digital publications.

  • Analyse social media metrics and trends to optimize content strategy and engagement.

  • Foster an active and engaged community of followers, responding to comments, DMs, and interactions in a timely and personable manner.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience creating content for Instagram and TikTok, especially for art, fashion, or cultural brands, is desirable but not essential. If you have a strong knowledge of art and culture, this can be waived.

  • Understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and audience engagement tactics desirable.

  • Strong aesthetic sense and ability to translate Clast’s editorial voice into visual content.

  • Collaborative and communicative, with the ability to work across teams (Editorial, Design, Production).

  • Passion for art, fashion, culture, and storytelling, with an eye for emerging trends and new creative voices.

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in a relevant field (e.g., Media, Digital Marketing, Design, Arts) is a plus, but not required.
