What we collect and why

When you visit the site We collect standard analytics data — pages visited, time on site, device type, approximate location. This is handled via Squarespace's built-in analytics. No personally identifiable information is collected passively.

When you contact us or submit a form If you email us or submit work for consideration, we collect your name and email address. We use this only to respond to your enquiry.

When you subscribe to our mailing list We collect your email address and, where provided, your name. We use this to send updates about Clast Magazine, new issues, events, and opportunities. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.

When you make a payment If you purchase a print subscription or product through our site, payment is processed by Squarespace Payments (powered by Stripe). We do not store your card details. Payment data is handled entirely by Squarespace/Stripe and is subject to their privacy policies: squarespace.com/privacy and stripe.com/gb/privacy

Cookies

Our site is hosted on Squarespace, which uses cookies for analytics and site functionality. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work as expected. For full details of cookies set by Squarespace, see squarespace.com/privacy.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. Your data may be processed by Squarespace as our hosting and e-commerce provider. They are bound by their own privacy policy. We may also use third-party mailing tools (e.g. Mailchimp) for newsletters — these are bound by their respective policies.

How long we keep your data

Subscriber data is kept until you unsubscribe. Contact enquiry data is kept for up to 12 months. Payment records are retained by Squarespace/Stripe in line with their policies and applicable financial regulations.
